Hi john, you'll need to locate your .htaccess file via ftp. This will usually be in your root (top) directory. Download it and edit in your favourite text editor. You will see the code for permalinks within and possibly some rules for wp-cache also (if installed). Simply paste the above code before anything in your .htaccess, save and upload. Hope this helps.

Just like to help out, I like the design of the site. So figured it was just an oversight, and you could of missed it. I personally like to keep quick links to the validation pages at the bottom of the site with no follows on them.
This allows me to quickly check if a page is valid or not. Makes tracking down errors very quick and easy.

I use xHTML strict on my News site, so it can easily get alot of errors, if I don't look out for them, and fix them, after an update.

Validators : XHTML / CSS 3 / RSS

Might be useful to you. Might not :) it's a suggestion while your ironing out the design.

Forgive my curtness. Your initial email wasn't immediately clear and I thought you were referring to wrapping
in
as a rule. I was going to respond via email. I know my site doesn't validate. I'm still ironing out the redesign. I have adjusted accordingly. Many thanks indeed.

Since you'd rather insult me, rather than take my advice of an error in xHtml validation seriously. Guess i'll just make it quiet clear.

Link

Link

Link

Link

link

That is essentially your navigation at the top of the screen. See a problem? yeah that is right, you opened with an
but then closed with a
in that area. You can't do that!
You also can't have two

one after another with out a
between them. So adviced that you mean the
to be a div because the
was confused the browser in how to handle the list.

Don't be so lazy and think you did nothing wrong in your xHTML. Your site isn't validating properly right now. Check it yourself.
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2F...

I did and thank you but I disagree, totally unnecessary to add a div before my ul.

Ever heard of Divitis?
http://www.apaddedcell.com/div-itis-what-it-and...
http://www.456bereastreet.com/lab/web_developme...

I agree it is extreme, as I said, a drastic measure and is one which I hope will not lead to an exile of chinese visitors to western content - like a type of inverted “Great firewall of China”. I will review the block of chinese traffic in 7 days again. Considering I never get chinese visitors, I don't feel this is so drastic a measure and it seems to be the only way this traffic has been halted.

I noticed qq829 . com in my Logs of referrers too, and thus found your site
I can understand blocking referrer traffic from these suspect domains, if you are that worried, but to block whole chinese specific ip address is alittle extreme.
It is best to just block the suspected domains and be a reminder to keep your site and server (if your control this) up to date with the latest versions.
